Sign off an RII aviation-maintenance task

Reinforce the 14 CFR required-inspection-item order from A&P training. The aircraft is not released until the RII inspector, not the performer, signs the item.

1. Open the job card and confirm the task is marked RII.
2. Perform the work to the AMM or approved data.
3. Do not sign the RII block as the performer.
4. Present the work to an authorized RII inspector who did not perform it.
5. Correct any inspector findings before a second presentation.
6. Obtain the RII inspector signature.
7. Make the return-to-service entry only after the RII signature.
