Run a cue-to-cue on a counterweight fly rail

Practice the sequence you already learned for “Run a cue-to-cue on a counterweight fly rail” until the order feels automatic. Drill the IATSE fly-rail order from stage-craft training. A line set is not flown until the arbor, locks, and calling sequence are confirmed.

1. Lock unused line sets.
2. Clear the deck under the moving piece.
3. Confirm the arbor load matches the batten load.
4. Confirm the set is in balance before the lock comes off.
5. Assign lock, pin, and operator roles.
6. Take the warning from the stage manager.
7. Take the standby from the stage manager.
8. Unlock only on the go.
9. Run the cue on the go, not before.
10. Lock the set at trim.
11. Report the completed cue.
12. Do not try to stop a runaway set. Warn and clear the deck.
