Run a Code Pink infant-abduction response

Reinforce the Joint Commission / NCMEC infant-security order from perinatal training. Exits are covered before a building-wide search begins. Security and law enforcement are notified as separate actions.

1. Activate Code Pink with the infant’s description and last location.
2. Staff the nearest exits immediately.
3. Cover stairwells and elevators.
4. Stop and identify anyone with a bag or coat that could hide an infant.
5. Account for every infant on the unit against the census.
6. Notify security.
7. Notify law enforcement.
8. Do not reset the alarm or reopen exits until the official all-clear.
