Respond to an H2S monitor alarm

Practice the API RP 49 / OSHA H2S alarm order. Don the escape pack first, leave upwind or crosswind, and do not attempt rescue without supplied air.

1. Stop work.
2. Read the monitor and the windsock.
3. Don the escape or supplied-air respirator as trained.
4. Move crosswind or upwind to the designated muster, not downwind.
5. Account for the crew at muster.
6. Do not re-enter for rescue without a supplied-air team and a plan.
7. Notify the control room.
8. Wait for the all-clear.
