Respond to a liquid-nitrogen Dewar incident

Reinforce CGA P-12 cryogen order. An oxygen-deficient room is not entered without an O2 meter, frostbite is not rubbed or heated with hot water, and a venting vessel is not sealed.

1. Evacuate if the room may be oxygen-deficient.
2. Do not enter without an O2 meter.
3. Ventilate from outside if it is safe.
4. If skin is frozen, warm with body heat or the taught dry method.
5. Do not rub the frostbitten skin.
6. Do not use hot water on frostbite.
7. Seek medical care for any cryogen burn.
8. Only then upright or isolate the Dewar with PPE if the atmosphere is safe.
9. Do not ride an elevator with a pressurized Dewar.
10. Do not seal a venting vessel.
