Reprocess a flexible endoscope after a case

Practice the AAMI ST91 / SGNA order from sterile-processing training. The scope is not stored until leak test, manual clean, high-level disinfection, and dry are complete.

1. Wipe and flush the scope at the bedside immediately after the case.
2. Transport it in a closed, labeled container to decontamination.
3. Perform a leak test before full immersion.
4. Manually clean channels with the taught brushes.
5. Rinse the channels.
6. Run high-level disinfection or sterilization as the IFU requires.
7. Purge and dry the channels.
8. Hang in a vented cabinet.
9. Do not coil a wet scope in a case.
