Open the malignant-hyperthermia cart

Practice the sequence you already learned for “Open the malignant-hyperthermia cart” until the order feels automatic. Drill the MHAUS crisis order from anesthesia training. Dantrolene is mixed and given as soon as MH is recognized; the case is not finished first.

1. Call for help and the MH cart as soon as MH is recognized.
2. Discontinue volatile agents and succinylcholine.
3. Switch to 100% oxygen and hyperventilate with a high fresh-gas flow.
4. Assign a mixer and give dantrolene at the taught loading dose.
5. Start cooling if core temperature is at the taught threshold.
6. Treat hyperkalemia and acidosis as the protocol directs.
7. Do not resume the triggering agents.
8. Transfer to ICU after the acute phase.
