Mix plaster for a waste mold

Reinforce sculpture-studio order from foundry / ceramics training. The mold is not poured until the ratio, slake time, and release are complete.

1. Weigh water and plaster to the studio ratio.
2. Sift plaster into water.
3. Slake before mixing.
4. Mix to the taught cream without whipping air.
5. Apply release to the original.
6. Pour the waste mold.
7. Wait the set time.
8. Do not add dry plaster to a mix that has already begun to set.
