Issue a construction RFI before work proceeds

Practice the CSI / contract-admin RFI order from project-controls training. The questioned work is not installed before the written answer is distributed.

1. Identify the drawing or spec conflict and the location.
2. Stop or hold only the work that depends on the answer.
3. Draft the RFI with the proposed interpretation.
4. Attach the marked drawings or photos.
5. Submit through the official project system, not a side channel.
6. Receive the written response and any sketch.
7. Distribute the answer to the affected trades.
8. Update the field set.
9. Resume the held work only after the response is posted.
