1. Confirm the system is the engineered or manufacturer's HLL for this span.
2. Inspect wire, terminations, and energy absorbers for damage.

4. Confirm sag or tension is within the design.
5. Verify each harness connector is compatible.
6. Clip in only after the competent person accepts the line.
7. Do not use a damaged or improvised cable as a lifeline.
