1. Confirm you are authorized on this MEWP group and type.
2. Review the rescue plan before use.
3. Inspect tires, fluid, and guards.
4. Inspect the platform gate and anchor.
5. Test ground controls in a clear area.
6. Test platform controls in a clear area.
7. Don a harness and connect to the manufacturer's anchor, not a nearby beam.
8. Survey overhead lines, drop-offs, and ground bearing.
9. Raise only after a failed item has been tagged out or cleared.
