Hook up a polysomnography study using the 10-20 system

Practice the sequence you already learned for “Hook up a polysomnography study using the 10-20 system” until the order feels automatic. Drill AASM hookup order from sleep-technologist training. Lights-out is not called until impedances pass and the biocalibration is recorded.

  1. Measure and mark 10-20 sites and abrade as trained.
  2. Apply EEG, EOG, and EMG leads.
  3. Apply ECG, airflow, effort, and oximetry.
  4. Check impedances against the lab limit.
  5. Run biocalibration: eyes, teeth, breath, and movement.
  6. Call lights-out only after the scoring montage is clean.
  7. Do not start the study on a channel that failed impedance.
