Facilitate a restorative conference

Practice the sequence you already learned for “Facilitate a restorative conference” until the order feels automatic. Practice IIRP restorative-conference order from facilitator training. The responsible person does not hear impact until they have accepted responsibility, and the agreement is written last.

1. Pre-conference with each participant separately.
2. Confirm the responsible person accepts responsibility.
3. Sit the circle in the taught order.
4. Hear what happened.
5. Hear impact.
6. Hear what is needed.
7. Write a specific agreement with owners and dates.
8. Do not run a conference if safety or denial makes it inappropriate.
