Dilute a process batch using C1V1

Reinforce the industrial-dilution order. Water or solvent is not added until V1 is calculated and checked, stock is charged first, and the batch is assayed before release.

1. Record C1, the desired C2, and the final batch volume V2.
2. Solve V1 = C2V2 / C1.
3. Confirm V1 is within tank working volume.
4. Charge the calculated stock first.
5. Bring to volume with the diluent.
6. Mix to uniformity.
7. Assay or titrate before releasing the batch.
8. Do not top off by eye.
