Delineate a wetland using the Corps manual

Practice the USACE wetland-delineation order from environmental-science training. A boundary is not flagged until hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soil, and hydrology are each documented.

  1. Establish the data point on the suspected wetland / upland break.
  2. Complete the vegetation stratum sampling.
  3. Describe the soil pit to the required depth for hydric indicators.
  4. Record hydrology indicators.
  5. Apply the regional supplement and decide wetland / non-wetland.
  6. Flag the boundary only after paired points support it.
