Close a metes-and-bounds parcel area

Practice the land-survey area order from LS training. The acreage is not certified until the traverse closes and the area method is applied to the adjusted figure.

1. Plot each course from the deed or field book.
2. Close the figure and compute linear misclosure.
3. Adjust only if misclosure is within the spec.
4. Compute area by DMD or coordinate method on the adjusted figure.
5. Convert to acres or hectares as the plat requires.
6. Do not publish an area from an unclosed sketch.
