Practice the sequence you already learned for “Clear an observatory laser for aircraft” until the order feels automatic. Practice FAA Laser Clearinghouse order. The beam is not opened until the aircraft interlock or spotter clearance is live, and an inhibit is not overridden.

1. Confirm the laser traffic-control or spotter system is online.
2. Check the predicted satellite windows.
3. Check the predicted aircraft windows.
4. Arm the beam only after a clear to propagate.
5. Shutter immediately on an aircraft or satellite inhibit.
6. Log start, stops, and inhibits.
7. Do not override an inhibit to finish a sequence.
