Belay a lead climber through the first clips

Reinforce AMGA / climbing-wall order from instructor training. The climber is not taken off belay to “flake faster,” and slack is not dumped before the first bolt.

1. Complete a partner check: harness, knot, belay device, and anchor.
2. Agree on commands before leaving the ground.
3. Keep a short catch through the first clips.
4. Feed only as the leader clips. Do not hold them off the move with a tight rope unless asked.
5. Never take the leader off belay to fix the rope.
6. Wait for a clear lower command after the anchor is clipped.
7. Opposite-and-oppose locker gates if the anchor requires it.
8. Lower only then.
