Apply the MARCH sequence on a tactical casualty
Reinforce the TCCC/TECC MARCH order from combat- or tactical-medic training. Airway is not addressed before massive hemorrhage is controlled. Card and evacuation are last.
- Control massive hemorrhage first with a tourniquet or wound packing.
- Open and maintain the airway.
- Treat respiratory compromise.
- Decompress a suspected tension pneumothorax if trained.
- Address circulation and shock.
- Prevent hypothermia.
- Complete the casualty card.
- Prepare for evacuation.
