Administer a charged timeout as the crew

Practice the NFHS/NCAA-style timeout mechanic from officiating clinics. The clock is not stopped until the request is legal.

  1. Identify which team requested the timeout.
  2. Confirm the team has a remaining charged timeout.
  3. Sound the whistle and stop the clock.
  4. Give the approved timeout signal.
  5. Report the timeout to the table.
  6. Notify both benches of timeouts remaining.
  7. Hold the teams until both are set to resume.
  8. Restart play.
  9. Record the timeout on the card.
